WATER AUDIT SERVICES

Save Water Save Life

Water Audit services :-

With the increasing water wastage and unplanned water usage has brought us to a point of crisis where water is becoming a priceless commodity with every passing second. Industries, organisations and manufacturing units that are dependent on water availability for their smooth operation are now taking initiatives for carrying out water audits. Not only private platform but also government has shown its concern to the industries not going for water audit and managing their water usage pattern.

Water Conservation Services Audit not only quantifies the water consumption pattern in an organisation but also focuses on all the flow of water in a system to understand its usage, reduce losses and improve water conservation.

Water audits act as an instrument to identify areas of higher specific water use, assess wastewater pollutant load and determine techniques for mitigation through the application of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) principle.

Why to go for Water Audit?

Water audits provide a way to inventory all water uses in a facility and identify ways to increase water usage efficiency. This in turn helps to prioritize steps to implement cost-effective water-saving measures.

  • Water audit improves the knowledge and documentation of the distribution system

  • Identifies the problem and risk areas and a better understanding of what is happening to the water after it leaves the source point

  • Leads to reduction in water losses

  • Improved financial performance

  • Efficient use of existing supplies

  • Better safeguard to public health and property and reduced legal liability,

  • Large potential cost savings that can be achieved by water harvesting, through the recycling of water/rain water

Recent Guidelines on Water Audit

Recent government directives are championing the cause of water conservation, ushering in a new era of environmental responsibility. The primary vehicle for this transformation is the Jal Shakti Ministry, and it has entrusted the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) with the task of ensuring compliance with water consumption benchmarks across a wide spectrum of industrial sectors.

Under these directives, a stern stance is taken against those who extract groundwater without proper certification, as the CGWA enforces environmental compensation measures. Industries that draw more than 100 cubic meters of groundwater per day now find themselves in the spotlight. They are required to undergo an annual water audit and submit detailed reports to the CGWA within a three-month timeframe. Additionally, for those heavy water users, consuming over 100 cubic meters of groundwater per day, a significant challenge awaits.

These high-water consumers are now mandated to reduce their groundwater usage by a substantial 20% within the next three years. To accomplish this, they must employ appropriate means and innovative solutions to not only meet regulatory requirements but also contribute to a more sustainable future.

This momentous shift in water management policies heralds a new dawn of responsibility and accountability for industrial players across the nation. It's time to adapt, evolve, and embrace a greener, water-wise future.
